Icon   Freedom to speak up

Our freedom to speak up guardians are in place to support staff to raise concerns and create a positive culture were staff feel empowered to speak up. If something doesn't feel right at work, our guardians are there to provide a route to seek advise and escalate concerns confidentially.

We know it is not always easy to speak up, but it is the right thing to do.  Our guardians:

  1. provide support and encouragement to staff at all levels and enable them to speak up safely
  2. provide support and guidance to managers to ensure we respond positively when people speak up
  3. support cultural changes in the organisation - openness, listening and learning
