National Preceptorship for Nursing Quality Mark We offer a 12-month preceptorship programme for newly qualified practitioners, registered practitioners who are new to an area of practice or specialty, and those who have taken on increased managerial or professional responsibilities. This is open to nurses, nursing associates and allied health professionals.

We're proud that NHS England have awarded us the National Preceptorship for Nursing Interim Quality Mark for our nursing preceptorship programme, which also reflects the same quality on offer to allied health professionals.

How to access 

Nurses, nursing associates and allied health professionals eligible for preceptorship will be enrolled on the preceptorship programme, and assigned a preceptor to support them. Staff can learn more about preceptorship and access a wide range of resources on the intranet. The link is only accessible to staff members logged into the Trust intranet.

    From an induction focused on your wellbeing to a range of training subjects to support you in your role, the training team are here to support your development.

    Our dedicated Talent for Care Team is in place to support the development of new talent and existing members of staff at CWPT.
  12. Apprenticeships

    We offer apprenticeships from Level 2 (GCSE equivalent) up to Level 7 (Master’s degree equivalent) and in both clinical and non-clinical subjects.

    The apprenticeship network is for anyone who is studying an apprenticeship at CWPT up to Level 4.
  14. Functional Skills

    We can support you to obtain your Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications in Functional Skills for Maths and English.

    The Care Certificate is a national requirement to be completed by non-registered clinical staff in a health or social care setting as a part of their induction.
