Icon Professional Development Team  

Our Professional Development Team are available to support you in developing your physical health skills and continuous professional development by providing a range of training courses. These include diabetes training, safe injection technique, anaphylaxis, physical health skills, ECG, venepuncture and medicines management. These courses are delivered online or face-to-face at our Head Office, Wayside House.

The team supports nurses in their professional development, however training is also available for anyone who has clinical responsibilities in their role.

    All medical staff (doctors) have a medical appraisal once a year to offer a chance to reflect.

    All staff have an annual appraisal to develop a clear career pathway and identify the support needed to help you get where you want to go.

    From an induction focused on your wellbeing to a range of training subjects to support you in your role, the training team are here to support your development.

    Our dedicated Talent for Care Team is in place to support the development of new talent and existing members of staff at CWPT.
  13. Apprenticeships

    We offer apprenticeships from Level 2 (GCSE equivalent) up to Level 7 (Master’s degree equivalent) and in both clinical and non-clinical subjects.
  14. Apprenticeship network

    The apprenticeship network is for anyone who is studying an apprenticeship at CWPT up to Level 4.
  15. Functional Skills

    We can support you to obtain your Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications in Functional Skills for Maths and English.

    The Care Certificate is a national requirement to be completed by non-registered clinical staff in a health or social care setting as a part of their induction.
