Icon Psychological Skills Development Service

The Psychological Skills Development Service offers training for staff based on psychological theory. The service aims to help staff learn about and safely deliver a range of evidence-based, psychologically-informed interventions, in a trauma-informed way. This includes training in professional skills, such as effective communication, and workshops to support staff to manage their wellbeing at work.

It is the only service in the NHS in England delivering such a variety of psychologically informed training in-house to both clinical and non-clinical staff. The service has recently become award winning for its bespoke trauma informed care training in partnership with the Recovery and Wellbeing Academy.
