Icon Research and innovation 

Our Research and Innovation Team are largely funded by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR). The team recruit service users, carers and NHS staff members to what is known as NIHR portfolio studies and commercial studies.

If you're passionate about contributing to research, there may be an opportunity to get involved and help to carry out research studies. These studies are developed by universities and trusts nationwide, and by staff at CWPT. The main areas are mental health, dementia and learning disabilities. The Research and Innovation Department can support your research at every stage, from helping to turn your ideas into researchable questions to maximising the impacts of completed studies.

    Our dedicated Talent for Care Team is in place to support the development of new talent and existing members of staff at CWPT.
  11. Apprenticeships

    We offer apprenticeships from Level 2 (GCSE equivalent) up to Level 7 (Master’s degree equivalent) and in both clinical and non-clinical subjects.
  12. Apprenticeship network

    The apprenticeship network is for anyone who is studying an apprenticeship at CWPT up to Level 4.
  13. Functional Skills

    We can support you to obtain your Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications in Functional Skills for Maths and English.

    Distance learning courses are a great opportunity to expand your professional skillset.
  15. The Care Certificate

    The Care Certificate is a national requirement to be completed by non-registered clinical staff in a health or social care setting as a part of their induction.
