Talent for Care logoOur dedicated Talent for Care Team is in place to support the development of new talent and existing members of staff at CWPT. They provide advice to help people get ready, get in, get on and go further in their career in the NHS. They support staff to access a wide range of qualifications and development programmes including apprenticeships,distance learning, Functional Skills, the Care Certificate and more.

  1. Apprenticeships

    We offer apprenticeships from Level 2 (GCSE equivalent) up to Level 7 (Master’s degree equivalent) and in both clinical and non-clinical subjects.

    We offer a 12-month preceptorship programme for nurses, nursing associates and allied health professionals.

    If you're passionate about contributing to research, there may be an opportunity to get involved and help to carry out research studies.
  13. Quality improvement training and support

    The Improvement Team provide teaching, coaching, and mentoring to empower staff to make positive improvements.
  14. Psychological Skills Development Service

    Our award-winning Psychological Skills Development Service offers training for staff based on psychological theory.
  15. Library and information services

    We’re committed to evidence based practice and have four library facilities across the organisation.
  16. Coaching and mentoring

    We fully support the use of coaches and mentors, and it is a great opportunity to receive support and feedback on your work.
  17. Reciprocal mentoring

    Reciprocal mentoring enables people in senior positions to learn from and understand issues from the perspective of people in less senior roles from under-represented groups.
  18. Secondments

    We support secondments to allow you to learn new skills and explore other areas of work.
  19. Appraisals and revalidation - medical staff only

    All medical staff (doctors) have a medical appraisal once a year to offer a chance to reflect.
  20. Meaningful appraisals

    All staff have an annual appraisal to develop a clear career pathway and identify the support needed to help you get where you want to go.
